Pottery Classes at the Wheelhouse

We are offering throwing lessons on the potter's wheel in the Wheelhouse at Merton Abbey Mills for both beginners and advanced, adults and kids aged 8 to 98 (smaller children can sit on a parent's lap).

Weekend pottery classes

Individual tuition is in a small group of up to four people. Classes are held from 11am to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, and at other times by arrangement.

The cost is £15 per person for a 45-minute session which includes:

• Use of the wheel
• Clay
• Tools
• The firing of your best pot for collection approximately four weeks later, glazed in your chosen colour

Please wear old clothes and bring along an apron and towel. Ladies might want to cut long nails and tie up their hair!

One-day classes for adults (weekdays only)

We are also running one-day throwing classes for groups of four adults during the week. Classes run from 10am to 4pm and cost £75 per person. Surcharge applies for smaller groups.
